Trapper- ViM or Oath? Secondary?
Which Trapper (ViM, Oath, or even Martyr) do you feel has the advantage and why? Or is there another trapper build you would like to recommend?
And which secondary would you recommend running on a Trapper?
Oh, and also, what is the main difference between Spike and Barbed Traps? What makes Spiked so much better to use an Elite spot for it?

PvP? PvE?
Spike Trap has knockdown, which is nice for keeping enemies within the DoT traps.

To be honest, after playing with some higher ranked iway, and learning tactics, i prefer barb trap over spike. The crip that barbed offers can mean the difference between your orders/taint dying, or living. Snares ftw.

Honestly, I'd go with neither for a Trapper build.
If you're doing PvP, and playing the usual Trapper type of role, then Oath Shot isn't going to help you all that much, because there won't be many enemies around you when you're doing Trap Prep before combat. And in the middle of combat, your targets will be moving around, which makes Oath Shot pretty risky.
ViM is okay, provided you're catching enemies in the traps.
Martyr is good, I suppose, though I've not had much time with it.
And I usually see R/Me with Mantra of Concentration for Trapping, though R/W with ViMWAY or R/Mo would probably work.

I completely forgot about Mantra of Concentration.
It has a 20 second recharge, which possibly could be a bit long. But say you did use Mantra of Concentration, would you active it in lieu of say Whirling Defense and open up one more skill slot... or would you use both simultaneously?
And for clarification, this would be probably a build for PvE and General Arena.

They're both stances, unfortunately.
And I've not had much time playing Trappers in PvP, because Trapping just doesn't excite me all that much. But from what I've seen, it's usually something I've mentioned in my previous reply. As far as I can remember, Spike Trap is the Elite of the build, and yeah, I have a faint memory of Whirling Defense. Usually swap back and forth between that and MoC.
